Hello everyone! My name is Fahad and I am an Associate at the Downtown Toronto office. I graduated from McMaster University in June 2011 and am now on my way to obtaining the Chartered Accountant (CA) designation. I cannot think of a better firm to work for, or one that places such an importance on work-life balance.
Having grown up in Saudi Arabia to Pakistani parents and attending boarding schools at an early age in Michigan and Canada, I bring a global perspective and understanding of cultural experiences and challenges.
Having served as the PwC Campus Ambassador in my 4th year at McMaster University, I can provide recruiting, networking and interviewing tips that you might find very helpful. I look forward to blogging with you and sharing with why I feel PwC is one of the best firms to work for in the world!
Feel free to respond to my blog posts as I will happily discuss any questions or comments you might have (please note that if you post a comment and it does not appear on my blog, please make sure to click ">>" to go to the next page to find your comment and my reply).
Help me make this blog not about me and PwC, but rather about us and PwC!

Hey Fahad,
Did you already start your first day in the full-time position? If not, could you blog about what's going on around you and what's going through your head that first day to give us a better idea of how PwC accommodates individuals as they make that giant leap from school to the professional world?

Hello Imad,
Thank you for showing interest in PwC!
I will most definitely blog about how PwC eases the transition of students from the university life to the corporate world once I begin!
However, I can tell you from my experience as a Summer Intern at PwC that the firm has an excellent support system in place in addition to a reputable training program for students to ensure a seamless transition! Everything I needed to know for the rest of the summer was pretty much taught in the first week of training! Even at clients, it is expected of you to ask lots of questions.
One thing I got out of my experience at PwC as a Summer Intern, which definitely made the giant leap from school to the professional world seem effortless was the fact that I always had someone to turn back to, whether that be my coach or team members at client engagements.
Stay tuned for more updates regarding my transition in future blog posts as well as other topics that you might find of interest!
Cheers!

Hey Fahad,
I'm glad to see you found a permanent position from your summer internship, I am also constantly trying to figure out where I would like to work the next summer term, or maybe even after graduation.
As an Associate with PwC, what does your job entail, how is your relationship with your direct manager/supervisor, and what kind of opportunists are there for engineering students, with an emphasis on the software side? And how do I apply?
