Will the proposed change to PST may be affected if the B.C. government does call an election before the Premier Christie Clark announced yesterday (Aug 31), May 14, 2013? A possible scenario is for an election to take place well before before March 31, 2013 and the Liberal government loses power. Can a new government ignore the recall referendum results and stay with the HST? We are dealing with a "wild west" province and multijurisdictional businesses are certainly not impressed by what has happened.

Audrey Diamant

These are very interesting and valid questions to ask the government of BC. At this time the response to these specific questions encompass various political and legal issues and time will tell how the current government or a possible new government will deal with the referendum.
